Emphasis Preaching Journal

All of us like, and maybe even need, to know that we're doing a good job. We need to know that our efforts are appreciated. There's something about affirmation and appreciation that encourages us when we're discouraged and challenges us to do our best. If affirmation and appreciation can help us while we're involved in a task, why is it that they usually come when our task is completed? Perhaps it is time we looked at God's example. God first expressed affirmation of and appreciation to Jesus at the beginning of his ministry.
