Of all the physical creations...
Illustration
Of all the physical creations within God's great and marvelous universe, the human body is the most wondrous and complex. It is a human machine contaming innumerable living, moving, working parts. A single drop of blood no larger than the head of a pin contains more than 5 million red blood cells and 5,000 white blood cells, which in turn contain fats, proteins, starch, sugars, vitamins, and water.
The body is a universe within itself, with a circulatory system, digestive system, nervous system, reproductive system, respiratory system, and skeletal-muscular system. The brain is so uniquely complex that, if it were possible to do so, scientists would have to build a computer as large as the Empire State Building to duplicate its functions. God has devised a truly miraculous vessel in which to house his most precious creation, the soul.
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 RSV).
