In All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, Robert Fulghum mentions that someone had given him a "Storyteller's License." It read: "This is to certify that Robert Fulghum is granted the right to use his imagination in rearranging facts in his experience to improve a story, so long as said imagination is used in service to Truth, Justice, and the American Way, and that bearer adheres to the Storyteller's Creed." And he includes the "Storyteller's Creed":
I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge.
That myth is more potent than history.
