After undergoing successful treatment for cancer, cyclist Lance Armstrong tried to get back into the world of professional bicycle racing. After some difficult races, Lance came to the point where he decided to retire from racing.
However, his coach and some of his friends could see that Lance wasn't done yet; he just needed to re-discover his passion for riding. So they took Lance back to the sight of one of his greatest triumphs, Beech Mountain in North Carolina.
During the Tour DuPont, Lance had climbed Beech Mountain and won a decisive victory. As he and his friends rode up the mountain, they came across some of the messages and words of encouragement that had been painted on the road for the race. Seeing those painted "cheers" and feeling the positive energy of past glory, Lance was transfigured and went on to win his first Tour de France.
Likewise, Jesus was transfigured after climbing up a mountain with his friends and went on to win eternal life for all who believe in him.
