Bill and Tom decided to spend the night "on the town." It was after two o'clock in the morning when they parted company and returned to their own homes.
When they met at work the next day, Bill said to Tom, "How did your wife respond to your staying out so late last night?"
"Not so well," replied Tom. "She became absolutely historical!"
"You mean hysterical, don't you?" said Bill.
"No. I mean historical," said Tom. "She reminded me of everything that I've ever done that was wrong!"
