We don't fall short anymore!
Object:
a table, three plastic cups of water and a piece of notebook paper
Good morning, everyone! (place two of the cups about 7 inches apart on the table) Today we're going to talk about what it means "to fall short." Any guesses? (see if anyone knows) When something falls short it doesn't quite get the job done. It doesn't measure up. See my cups? I have three cups of water here. What I want to do is take this piece of paper (hold it up) and make a bridge between the two cups on the table. I want to see if I can make a bridge that will hold up my third cup of water. Think I can do it?
