Good morning! Have any of you ever played in a baseball or
soccer game or any other kind of game? (Let them answer.) Well,
what's the object of playing the game, any game? (Let them
answer.) Yes, the object of any game is to win. Sometimes if we
win enough games or win a special game, we get one of these.
(Show the trophy.) If you won one of these, would you be happy
about it? (Let them answer.)

But what if you lose the game? How do you feel then? (Let
them answer.) Yes, we do not feel so happy when we lose. I hope
you are all good sports and you don't get angry about it, but it
is more fun to win, isn't it? (Let them answer.)

Let me tell you about a game where everyone is a winner.
It's actually not a game at all. It's this life that you are
living -- the life that God has given you. There is a prize, a
trophy, for everyone who lives. We can all win it, and it's a
prize more valuable than all the trophies that were ever made.
That trophy is eternal life in Heaven with God. Do you all want
to win that trophy? (Let them answer.) Of course you do. Let me
tell you how to win. All you have to do is believe in Jesus as
your Lord and Savior. Do you believe in him? (Let them answer.)
Good! In that case you have already won. All of us who believe in
Jesus are winners! Let's thank God for giving us the faith in
Jesus that makes us winners.

Dear Father in Heaven: We thank You so much for giving us faith
so that we can believe in Jesus and be winners. We who believe in
him have already won the greatest trophy ever. Amen.
