Children's Activity

SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Paper plates (two per child)
Dried beans
Stapler
Markers
Stickers, and other decorative materials
Craft sticks (wide popsicle sticks)
Strong tape
Directions:
1. Give each of the children two paper plates and allow them to decorate the bottoms of their plates as they wish.
2. Have the children write, "Making Noise for Jesus" on the bottom of one of their plates.
3. Help them tape the craft sticks near the rims on the tops (the part where food would go) on one of their plates.
4. Place the plates together at the rims with the tops together.
5. Staple the plates together, all the way around, leaving a small gap to add a handful of beans.
6. Give each child a handful of dried beans and have them place the beans inside small gap, then staple the gap shut.
7. Use the plates to make a "joyful noise to the Lord."
