If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a
noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. (v. 1)
Good morning, boys and girls. Have you ever heard someone say, "Stop It," or "I hate you!" or maybe, "I don't like it!" Once in a while I hear some really bad words, "Shut up!" or "I'm going to get you." When I hear ugly talk like that, I wish I was not there. The Bible teaches us that when there is this kind of talk, it sounds more like this. (hit the gong or the cymbal a few times) The words hurt so much that they hurt my ears.
