Children's Activity
SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Small box with lid (jewelry boxes work well, but any small recycled box will do)
Glitter
Glue
Contact paper or wrapping paper
Gift tag (like you would put on a package) -- laminated if possible
Directions:
1. Give each of the children a box.
2. Have the children cover their box and lid with contact or wrapping paper.
3. Give the children the glue and glitter to decorate the box.
4. Give each of the children a tag and have them write "For Jesus" on the tag.
5. Encourage the children to put an offering in the box as soon as they receive some money and leave it there until they take it to the church collection or give it to a charity. This will remind them that it is important to give.
