Teachers or Parents: The central doctrine of Christianity is
that we are saved as a gift of God through faith, not by our own
works. The words of Jesus in this week's Gospel reading emphasize
that truth. No one comes to Jesus unless the Father draws them.
We need to be sure that our children understand that they are
Christians because God has made them Christians and not because
of their own actions.
