It's just not fair!
Children's Activity
Object:
Teachers or Parents: Fairness is a major theme for children.
They have a strong sense of justice and God's grace just doesn't
make sense (it doesn't make sense to most adults either).
Play a game that is obviously unfair. Perhaps start with one player receiving one game piece, another three, and another six. "How does it feel that (name) has so many game pieces and you only have the ones you have?" Ask the one with all the pieces how it feels to have an obvious advantage. This can then lead into a discussion about how it seems at times that God is unfair because God seems to allow even bad people into the kingdom. This might then lead into a discussion of grace -- God's abundant love freely given.
End by singing or speaking the words to the hymn "Amazing Grace."
