Children's Activity
Teachers or Parents: Make a simple map -- perhaps a treasure
map -- that shows the children how to read a map. A different map
for each child would probably help the whole class better
understand how to follow a map. The "treasure" at the end of the
map could be a simple envelope with a piece of candy in it or a
note of appreciation. If a child has difficulty, you can help by
teaching the entire class or group how to use a map.
