Pastor: Hi, Peter!
Peter: Who is it? Who is it? (Acts as if he can't see)
Pastor: It's me -- Pastor! What's wrong with you? Why are you blindfolded?
Peter: These are my sunglasses.
Pastor: Well, why are you wearing sunglasses inside?
Peter: Can you keep a secret?
Pastor: (Whispers) What's your idea of a secret?
Peter: It's when you only tell one person at a time.
Pastor: Then I can keep a secret. Tell me.
Peter: I'm going to be a movie star, Pastor Baby!
Pastor: That's silly. But why are you blindfolded?
Peter: Sunglasses. We movie stars all wear sunglasses.
Pastor: Why?
Peter: So people won't know us.
Pastor: But I thought movie stars wanted to be known.
Peter: We do. But when we get known, we wear sunglasses so no one will know us.
Pastor: You know, Peter, I think it is smart on your part to wear sunglasses.
Peter: You do?
Pastor: Yes. It covers up part of your face. (Laughs)
Peter: You'll see. I'll be famous.
Pastor: As what?
Peter: A singer. I compose songs.
Pastor: Decompose would be more like it. I have some advice for you, Peter. When you sing, breathe through your nose.
Peter: Why?
Pastor: That way you'll keep your mouth shut. (Pauses) Peter, have you prayed about this?
Peter: Certainly. I said, "Lord, I want to be a movie star. Make me popular so I can make lots of money."
Pastor: Peter, it's not right to make plans and ask God to bless them.
Peter: It's not?
Pastor: No. We are supposed to seek God's guidance. If we get our plan from God in the first place, it will already be blessed. Does that make sense?
Peter: Well, (Hesitates) yeah!
Pastor: That's what we are told in Proverbs 3:6: "In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths." Can you say that?
Peter: You mean recite it? I think so. "In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths." Hey, Pastor, I changed my mind. Guess what I'm gonna be.
Pastor: I don't know. What?
Peter: A ventriloquist!
