Second Lesson: 1 Corinthians 15:12-20
Theme: Least To Be Pitied, More To Be Emulated
Call To Worship (1 Corinthians 15:19-20)
One: If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
All: But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died.
Collect
Accept, O Lord, our hearts today. We trust that you will guide us in the work of your kingdom. With a cheerful heart we give to you. With hope we receive from you. Bless us all in this time of worship. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, we speak from the heart about our concerns and joys. We speak because we know you are listening. We speak because we know our sisters and brothers are listening as well. Inspire us to help where we are needed, and to wait for your guidance in our times of celebration and sorrow. Stand by us through all the experiences of our lives. Amen.
Hymns
