Call To Worship
Leader: Praise God for the mighty things he has done.

Leader: Praise him with music. Praise the Lord, all living creatures!
People: Praise the Lord!
Collect
Almighty God, through the resurrection of your Son, you have made us a part of your new creation. You have brought us together to be your Church -- the Body of our Lord on earth. We praise you and give you thanks for this great blessing, and pray that you will empower us to be faithful witnesses to your power. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
O God, when we compare our faith with that of your first disciples, we are shamed. When we realize the boldness with which they bore testimony to the resurrection, we realize how weak has been our own witness. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, and by the power of your Spirit make us bold and courageous as we share the Good News of the resurrection. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we bring to you not only these gifts, but all that we do and say as we strive to be faithful disciples in our daily lives. Bless our efforts, we pray, in Jesus'Êname. Amen.
Hymns
"Christ Is Risen"
"Christ Is Alive"
"Because He Lives"
Second Sunday Of Easter
Gospel Lesson: Revelation 1:4-8
Theme: The Message Of The Resurrection
Call To Worship
Leader: Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life."
People: "Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die."
Leader: Christ our Lord loves us, and by his sacrificial death he has freed us from our sins.
People: To Jesus Christ be the glory and power forever. Amen.
Collect
Lord God Almighty, you are the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, and we gather to praise your holy name. We come, also, to give you thanks for your Son, Jesus Christ, who by his death and resurrection has revealed unto us the depth of your love and mercy. Bless our worship, we pray, and may it be a time when our faith is rekindled that we might better serve you. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
God, our Father, you have called us to be a light to the world, a community of faith dedicated to your service, a living witness to your love for all humanity. We confess that we have fallen short of that high calling, and we seek your forgiveness. Renew a right spirit within us, and send us forth to do your will, to be that light in a dark world. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, as Christ fed the multitudes with just a few loaves and fish, we pray that you will receive these gifts and multiply their effectiveness in spreading your love among your children everywhere. Amen.
Hymns
"Lo, He Comes With Clouds Descending"
"Hail The Day That Sees Him Rise"
"Hail, Thou Once Despised Jesus"

Almighty and Ever-loving God, through the resurrection of your Son, Jesus Christ, you have freed us from the power of darkness and brought us to live life in the Light of your kingdom of love. Amen.
