Sermons And Children's Lessons For Advent, Christmas And Epiphany
I remember from when I was a little boy, a conch shell that was in my grandparents' home; it was large, perfectly formed and beautifully colored. I used to hold it up to my ear to hear the "roaring of the ocean's waves." Of course, the noise wasn't the sound of the sea at all, but it sounded like being on a beach, listening to the noise that the salt water makes. I have since wondered where they got that shell, but I never had a chance to ask them about it. I think I have always wanted one like it.
