Call To Worship
Leader: After Jesus' death, many wondered if the healing had ended.
People: It did not. The disciples carried on. Healing continued.
Leader: With all the false claims of today, we wonder if real healing is still possible without the
person of Jesus. This is truth: Healing is from God.
People: The healing strength of God continues.
Leader: Come, receive the healing power of the Spirit of God present within this consecrated and holy place.
Collect
We would be instruments of your healing, O compassionate God. Let our hands be your hands. Let the kindness of our words reflect yours. Let the work we do bring your hope and life into the world around us. Through your Spirit. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Teach us, O God of strength and wellness, that we must ask for the healing of body, mind, and spirit that is possible through you. Show us how to open ourselves to receive your hope. Encourage us to extend your healing power through our actions toward others. In your Spirit. Amen.

Call To Worship
When we are in the midst of crisis, time seems suspended. Everything else in our lives comes to a halt. We hold on for dear life. As we move beyond ordeal, we become filled with a sense of God's blessing and renewal of life. Wherever you are at this moment in whatever turning point in your life, trust that God is your shield, your comfort, and your guide.
Collect
We come to worship you, O God, because you live. We trust, O God, because you live. We hope because you live. All praise to you, O living God. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Teach us, Gracious God, to wash off the residue of bygone burdens so we might reclothe ourselves with clean attitudes of hope, comfort, and invigoration. Through your Holy Spirit. Amen.
31C Hymns
"Come, God, Creator, Be Our Shield" Tune: OLD FIRST
"He Lives" Tune: ACKLEY
"All Praise To Thee, For Thou, O King Divine" Tune: SINE NOMINE
Fourth Sunday Of Easter
Gospel: John 10:22-30

Call To Worship
Live in hope, not in fear. Live within the dignity of God's knowing who you are. Your creator knows to whom you belong. Your creator calls you by name. Claim God because God claims you. Come, let us worship God.
Collect
Like a gently caring father, you look out for our well-being, O God. You protect us here on earth. You safeguard us forever. All praise to you, who brings pardon, grace, and peace. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Until we trust in you, O God, we live as people about to be snatched by monsters of bigotry, poverty, or other injustice. Until we claim you as our God, we wander about becoming lost in defensive living. Turn us around, O God, to see how safe we are in your care. Through Jesus the Christ. Amen.
31C Hymns
"God [Himself Is][Is Truly] With Us" Tune: WUNDERBARER KÉNIG
"O Come To Me, You Weary" Tune: MEIRIONYDD
"Children Of The Heavenly Father" or "Surely No One Can Be Safer" Tune: TRYGGARE KAN INGEN VARA
