Using Storytelling In Gospel--Telling
There has been considerable interest in the preacher as storyteller and the gospel as God's story.9 Biblical studies have strengthened the perception that the Bible is not only a book of stories but uses the narrative as a distinctive way of proclaiming the Good News in Jesus Christ. Storytelling and gospel-telling, then, are inextricably bound together. Frederick Buechner points out that the preacher needs to tell only two stories - his own and God's - and demonstrate where the two intersect.10
