Object:
Theme: The Good News For Everyone
Call To Worship
As the sun dispels the darkness, bringing light to an awakening world, so God's Son has come into the darkness of our condition to bring the light of truth and the warmth of life.
Invocation
Creating and Redeeming God, we come together to celebrate the Baptism of our Lord at which time you made known that your Son had come into the world for all people everywhere. We give you thanks for the gift of your Son, and that through him we too have an opportunity to be caring and supporting members of Christ's Body here on earth -- the Church. Grant us all the will to work for our fellow-beings, serving them joyfully through the guidance of your Spirit, and guided by the example of our Master, Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Confession
Lord, remove from us anything that would make us deaf to your call. Cleanse us from anything that would close our minds to your truth. Purify us of anything that would harden our hearts to your beauty. Remove from us anything that would distract our attention from your still, small voice. Take away from us anything that would close our eyes to your smile. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, we consider it a privilege to be partners in the task of helping people to know and to love you. Bless both ourselves and our gifts in this great worldwide endeavor. Amen.
Hymns
"From All That Dwell Below The Skies"
"Take My Life, And Let It Be"
"Pass It On"
