Lectionary Worship Aids
Series VI, Cycle C
Theme: The Lord Speaks Through People Of God
Call To Worship
Leader: Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, oh, my soul!
People: I will praise him as long as I live.
Leader: Don't put your trust in human leaders; no human being can save you.
People: When they die, they return to the dust; on that day all their plans come to an end.
Leader: The Lord is king forever. Our God will reign for all time.
Collect
Merciful God, we thank you for your many blessings. So fill our lives with gratitude and love that we may be found worthy to speak for you when we encounter the poor, the hungry, the sorrowing, the ill, and all those with heavy burdens that are too much for them to carry alone. Open our eyes to see the needs all around us, and through your Holy Spirit enable us to see how we can be your hands and your voice ministering in your name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Heavenly Father, Jesus warned us about those who would see the needy and choose to pass by on the other side. When we have failed to respond to the call of the needy, forgive us, we pray, and help us to show forth your love and mercy by deeds of kindness and love. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
Lord, we know that by our own power, with our own resources, there is little that we can do to minister to the needy, but we bring these offerings with a prayer that they may be multiplied through your Church so that multitudes may be helped in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Hymns
"O For A Thousand Tongues To Speak"
"Lord, Speak To Me"

Collect
Lord God Almighty, you have called each of us to serve you. Open our hearts and ears during this time of worship that we may hear your Spirit speaking to us individually about how we can be used to spread the Good News to those who do not know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Forgive us, Father, when we fail to pay attention to your call to us to serve you. We encounter countless opportunities to witness to your amazing grace, but we choose not to take advantage of them. Remove from us, we pray, all fear and feelings of inadequacy that we may always be ready, willing, and able to show forth your love to others. In Jesus'Êname we pray. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, you have blessed us beyond measure, and it is of your own that we now present to you. Accept these gifts and use them to advance your kingdom here on earth. Amen.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness, O God.
Come, let us worship together.
Collect
Merciful God, through your Son, Jesus Christ, we have come to know you as a loving and compassionate Father. We know that your Son came into the world that the world might be saved through him. We pray this morning for your Church throughout the world, divided into many denominations, that the spirit of unity and cooperation may pervade all the churches in order for them to present one voice to the world proclaiming your love and mercy. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Father, we confess that we have been guilty of sowing seeds of discord and disunity when we have failed to listen to the concerns of others. Give us open minds, we pray, that together with those who have different views than our own we may seek common ground that will enable us to show forth your love to the world. Amen.
Offertory Prayer
O God, accept these our offerings, we pray. Bless those who gave them, and so follow them with your blessing that they may be used to promote goodwill, peace, and unity among people, and advance your kingdom here on earth. Amen.
