People: Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.
Leader: Who is this King of glory?
People: The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.
Collect
Sovereign God, Creator and Ruler of the universe, we do earnestly pray that your kingdom may come, and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Rule in our hearts through Jesus Christ so that we may glimpse the glory of your eternal realm, and as loyal disciples be used by you in the building of your kingdom. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Almighty God, you have called us to obey your commands, but we confess that there are times when we have been swayed by earthly rulers to support causes that we know are not in keeping with your ways. Grant us the courage to take our stand as citizens of your kingdom, and remind us of our pledge to uphold the cause of justice, peace, and goodwill among all peoples. Amen.

People: Blessing and honor and glory and might be unto the Lamb, forever and ever!
Leader: Worthy is Christ who by his sacrificial death bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation, and race and made them a kingdom of priests to serve our God.

Collect
Eternal God, we give you thanks for your Son, Jesus Christ, who dwelt among us and opened to us the gates of your kingdom, a realm where all peoples, nations, and languages shall be included. Make us loyal followers of our living Lord, that we may follow his teachings, and live in his Spirit. We pray in his name. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
Lord, where we have been hesitant to give you our full loyalty and devotion we seek your forgiveness. Relying on our own strength we know that we can never become the disciples that you would have us to be, and so we come seeking the power of your Holy Spirit to keep us ever faithful to you and your kingdom. Amen.
