A Christian counselor was working...

A Christian counselor was working with a husband and wife who were having trouble. It seemed to the counselor after the first interview that the main difficulty was the husband's sexual fantasies he insisted his wife participate in. She felt they were abnormal and a sin. He didn't
It appeared the husband enjoyed his wife walking on him. He asked her to wear high heels and step on his face. The man enjoyed being hurt and put down by women. He made an interesting reply to the counselor, who once asked: "But isn't that wrong? Doesn't it damage the love between the two of you? I mean doesn't it embarrass your wife? If it does, it is a sin, isn't it?"
The man calmly replied: "I feel absolutely no conviction of sin. I simply think my wife doesn't love me and thinks I am a homosexual!"
Ash Wednesday gives us a chance to acknowledge that we all are sinners. Anything that hurts God, ourselves, or others is a sin. That takes in a lot of territory. Repentance gives God a chance to heal human relationships. No sin is too great to be forgiven, even mine --even yours.
