Today is the celebration of being reminded. The day we bring the good news of Jesus' resurrection back into our conscious minds. A day to have our minds turned to the source of our faith.
Today is the day to re-mind ourselves that it was in Christ's resurrection that the Good News of Good Friday was revealed.
That Jesus appeared to so many, over 500 persons Paul tells the Corinthians, is the beginning of being "reminded" of all the saints who have witnessed to Christ's resurrection.
Paul's last "re-minder" is that Jesus even died for him, and all like him who didn't believe until they saw ... until their minds were opened and they were re-minded of Christ's presence in the world.
Today, we are re-minded, filled with grace, and we o re-minded that by God's grace we are God's children. Through Jesus' death and resurrection we are made new --re-newed, refreshed, and re-minded.
