Jesus is the chief cornerstone...

Jesus is the chief cornerstone upon whom we build our spiritual lives, but what is the cornerstone upon which we build our physical lives? Depending on what source you read, the cornerstone of good health is either water, physical exercise, or good nutrition. In reality, all three combine to form an important cornerstone of good health.
It is common for people to substitute coffee, tea, soft drinks, alcohol, and other liquids for water. But water is very important because it hydrates our cells, flushes our system of toxins and is the major component in our blood.
In our busy lives, more and more people eat on the run, opting for fast food and prepared dinners that are high in fats and salt, rather than eating balanced diets of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
After the stress of a busy day, who wants to walk around the block or go to the gym? Morning exercise? Forget it. We need every minute of our beauty sleep. Yet regular exercise not only burns calories, it aids in digestion, the flow of blood, and stimulates the heart.
With the increase of illness caused by poor eating and drinking habits and the lack of exercise, it is becoming increasingly clear that we need to get back to the cornerstones of good health: nutrition, exercise, and water.
