Paul was not ashamed of the gospel. To borrow a politician's term, he "stayed on message." So did British naval commander Louis Mountbatten. A guest on a late night television talk show, he told the host in advance he would not talk about the Vietnam War. But only a few minutes into the interview the question came, "Sir, if you were president of the United States, what would you do about Vietnam?" Mountbatten stayed on message. He replied, "I'd tell the British to keep their noses out of it."
