An admirer asked a very rich man how he had become such a successful person. He answered that when he started college he had the goal of becoming a dentist. "Lots of guys," he said, "had that same goal, but very few of them made it because they got sidetracked by other things and lost sight of their goal. Some guys put too much effort in chasing girls and going to parties. Others wasted time on sports events and poker games. But not me, I concentrated on my studies.
"I was just a kid," he said, "but I knew enough not to take my eyes off my goal and let other things trap me."
