A month or so after...
Illustration
A month or so after his birth, Dana became the adopted son of Shirley and Leonard Bungess. If they had permitted it to happen, the infant's flaming red hair and pale skin might have set him apart from the rest of the family. They did not, however, permit that to occur. From the day he arrived in their home, it was proudly announced that Dana was not just their son, he was their chosen son.
As he grew, the family celebrated two special days in Dana's life -- his "A" day and his "B" day. His A-dopted day might have even received more fanfare than his B-irth day. It would be wonderful if all children were made to feel as welcome as Dana.
In this passage, Paul makes it clear that all us adopted children of God really are that welcomed!
