When the Beatles came to the United States in the mid-60s their travel plans and hotel accommodations were usually kept secret. If they weren't, their fans would soon be mobbing them for autographs and the like. Great crowds of their fans gathered wherever they went just to catch a glimpse of them or touch even the edges of their coats. Their own personal time was indeed at a premium. The same can be said today for many movie stars, noted personalities and other famous people. Their travel arrangements, their comings and goings of any kind must be done in secret. Otherwise they will be mobbed by their fans wanting autographs and the like. The cost of fame carries with it a loss of personal privacy.
