Queen Elizabeth II was visiting...

Queen Elizabeth II was visiting in St. Catharines, Ontario. Her parade route had been well advertised. Crowds were turning out in record numbers and Anne was determined to be one of them. Despite the rain that had been falling steadily all day, the mood of the crowd was festive. Anne could hear the cheers as she parked her car. Just as Anne was getting out of her car, a motorcycle came racing out of nowhere and crashed into the car that was parked beside her. The driver hit the pavement, but quickly got up, restarted his bike, and raced away. Now Anne was faced with a choice. She could ignore the accident, join the crowd and cheer the Queen; or, she could put aside her own desires and witness to the truth. -- Conroy
