Surely, we must do something to achieve salvation, wholeness,
integration. Lucy, of Peanuts fame, proceeded one day to give
Linus a few well-chosen words about the library. "See that
building there, that's the library. If you ever want to borrow a
book, all you have to do is to go in there, and tell them which
one you want; and they'll let you take it home." "Free?"
questioned Linus. "Absolutely free," replied Lucy. And Linus
exclaimed, "Sort of makes you wonder what they're up to."
No wonder Coach Charlie Brown bemoaned one day while watching
his team making all kinds of errors, "Being a manager is a hard
life. Our first game is next week, and we're not anywhere near
ready." He sighs as Snoopy dashes past him, dragging Linus and
his blanket, and as Lucy drops every ball that comes near her.
"I've got the only team," he concludes, "that is made up of
rejects from the Little League."
