Leslie Weatherhead tells the story of a copy of John's Gospel coming into the possession of a passenger on a train in India. When he realized that it was a part of the Christian Scriptures, he became angry and tore it into small pieces which he threw out the window. A gang of workers came along, and one of them picked up a tiny fragment. He was able to read just these three words: "Bread of Life." Deeply impressed, he read them again and again. He repeated them as though he couldn't get them out of his mind. He thought: "I must find this Bread of Life." He found at last a little Christian community, and through the simple form of worship there, he found Christ, the Bread of Life.
