The intimate relationship between the Father and the Son that informs the Nicene Creed's understanding of "consubstantial" is evident in this text. One is always reminded of identical twins by this understanding. The genetic material is truly identical, but there are still two persons. The twins, despite the similarity in appearance, are capable of leading separate lives, possessing different jobs, and having different gifts and abilities. To say someone is the "spittin' image" does not mean identical without distinction when we speak of such siblings, but simply difficult to distinguish in many ways.
