God has become my strength...

"God has become my strength." As I write this, the news is being dominated by the
rescue efforts for the six miners buried deep within a coal mine in Huntington, Utah.
Throughout the world prayers are offered for their safety.
Many years ago, explorer Thomas Hearne and his party had set out on a rigorous trip into northern Canada to find the source of the Coppermine River. A short time after they left, thieves broke in and stole most of their supplies. Hearne could have given up in despair. Instead, his response was, "The weight of our baggage being lightened, our next day's journey was more swift and pleasant."
How about you? Can you respond with similar courage in the face of dramatic loss?
