Because of their insane jealousy...

Because of their insane jealousy, the brothers of Joseph disliked him so much they told
their father Joseph had been attacked by wild animals. In the meantime, Joseph gained
more and more popularity in the number one residence of Pharaoh. The queen attempted
to have an affair with Joseph and her lies sent him to prison. While in prison, dreams
came to his rescue. He was able to accurately interpret the dreams of the king's wine
steward and baker. Later, he interpreted the dream of the king by foretelling seven years
of plenty followed by seven years of famine. The famine was so bad that people came
from surrounding countries. Jacob sent his family from Palestine to get grain for their
animals, and this is where the rest of the story took place as Joseph revealed himself to
his brothers, yet without bitterness he remained faithful to the call God had given.
Many stories of the Bible had joy-filled endings because someone was faithful. How very easy it would have been for Joseph to prove to his brothers that he was right, that his dreams were right.
He could have played a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with his brothers. He could have kept the secret that he had survived and built up a plot to bring them trouble and to keep the truth hidden.
