Object:
Today's story gives students a chance to act out the
dream of Joseph. Choose one student to be Herod. One student can
be the angel. The other students can pretend to be asleep. Each
of these students is Joseph. Herod walks around a certain part
of the room in search of Jesus. He can't go in the part of the
room where Joseph is asleep, however. The angel calls the name of
one of the sleeping children and tells the child to rise and go
to Egypt. Have a designated corner of the room be Egypt. When one
student is safely in Egypt, have the angel call another student
to go to Egypt. When all the children are safe in Egypt, the game
is over. Trade parts and play the game again.
