Take off your veils
Children's sermon
Object:
a veil
Good morning, boys and girls. I brought a piece of clothing that we really don't see too much where we live. (hold it up) Do you know what it is? (let them answer) It's called a veil. It used to be worn by women a very long time ago to keep their faces covered from their eyes down. (demonstrate) There are some places very far from here where the women still have veils. Moses put a veil over his face so the people didn't have to look at his face after he came down the mountain with the Ten Commandments. His face was too bright, so he covered it with a veil.
