Children's Activity

SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME
AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT HOME
Materials:
Dress-up clothes (beads, sunglasses, blouse, T-shirt, overalls, snow hat, and so on)
Directions:
Play a dress-up game. Have the children take turns being "it." Give them an event or activity (i.e., "skiing" or "weddings") and have the group dress up the "it" child in the correct outfit. (Make sure that you have appropriate clothing for each activity called!) For a greater challenge, have the group find the correct garments and dress the "it" player in under a minute (or an appropriate time for the age group). Talk about how important it is for us to dress correctly for the activities that we do, just like it is important for us to dress our spirits correctly when we come to church. God is not worried about what we look like on the outside, but he does want us to be put together on the inside.
