The world may not agree...

The world may not agree with the next statement, but what does the world know of such things? Jesus has revealed to believers his power is great enough to overcome the bitterness of difficult circumstances. His power also delivers, as Jesus accomplishes his purpose in us and through us.
Ask Johanna Ruth Dobschiner, a persecuted Jew in Nazi-occupied Holland, who survived the Holocaust by going underground until World War II ended. In the midst of death, fear, and a wave of severe anti-Semitism, she learned about Jesus Christ, while hiding in an attic room. She found the Messiah of her people locked up in the pages of the New Testament, but when she accepted him as her personal Lord and Savior, his power was released in her life. Her incredible story is the basis of her book, Selected To Live.
Just as Johanna learned nothing can separate us from God's love in Jesus Christ, Paul and Silas learned nothing can separate us from perfect, unbroken fellowship with God --not prison, chains, not inhumane jailers. Songs of perfect prayer and praise can be sung in the greatest cathedral and in bondage. God listens just the same!
Like I said, the world doesn't agree with the laws of the kingdom, but that doesn't change kingdom living. The bottom line is still this: we aren't shut out from fellowship with God, no matter how difficult the circumstance may be!
