Working with ceramics has become...

Working with ceramics has become a fascinating hobby for many people. Most ceramic objects, are made with a two-stage process. In the first stage the object itself is formed in a mold. The product that comes from a mold is called greenware. Greenware is very fragile. It is firm enough to be scraped and scratched, but it can no longer be formed into any other shape. It is usually dull grey in color. The hobbyist cleans the greenware of residues from the mold, applies paint and glazes, and prepares it for firing.
