A woman felt she had a legitimate grievance against a photographic company. A slightly used camera had become inoperative and the camera manufacturer responded with a projected repair cost which this woman felt was outrageously unfair.
So she wrote directly to the company president. He in turn referred it to one of his staff. To make short a longer story, a series of letters and phone calls ensued and in the end this woman's camera was fixed --free of charge. She felt justified in her position and in time won out.
