The Sunday school teacher had enjoyed teaching about the various personalities in the Old and New Testaments. She had brought interest and intrigue to the stories by using costumes, simple props and good solid research to introduce the young people to the biblical characters. With the story of Joseph being sold to a caravan, they had studied slavery, caravans and trade routes of that era. The story of Moses produced interesting artifacts from a friend's recent trip to Egypt. And with Paul's story, the class had built a model of a ship, similar to the ones Paul used in his travel.
