The story is told about a psychiatrist who was worn out by all the pressures of caring for the problems of others. He was on the verge of burn out. A friend said, "Look, take a break. The Great Grimaldi is in town. Why don't you go see him perform?" The doctor heeded his friend's advice, went to see the Great Grimaldi perform, and was much refreshed. The next day a new patient arrived in his office in a state of emotional exhaustion. "Look," said the psychiatrist, "Yesterday I felt just as you do and I went to see the Great Grimaldi. He was great and the enjoyment did wonders for me. Why don't you go and take in his performance?" "I can't" said the patient, "I am the Great Grimaldi." The gospel lesson for today fits well with the Old Testament reading. Who shepherds the shepherd, who cares for the care giver? -- Kolsti
