In the southern part of the United States, there is an annoying weed that grows in the forests that is called kudzu. And this weed runs wild and quite often chokes the life out of trees. So kudzu is not very near and dear to too many people's hearts. But recently scientists at Harvard University were able to take the roots of the kudzu plant and use them to create a mixture that takes away the desire for alcohol. In other words, when alcoholics drink that kudzu potion, their urge to drink is taken away. Before that discovery, most people would not have cared if kudzu was eliminated from the face of the earth. But now we see that that seemingly useless plant may very well hold the solution to a serious problem. Job looks for hope, trusting that God will provide relief to the problems that face him, even if that relief is to come in unexpected ways. -- Bowen
