Some years ago, I was privileged to hear Eli Wiesel present a lecture in a university campus setting. During his lecture, Wiesel noted that we need to consider the prophet's words of promise about God's restoration of those in exile in a new light. For all its problems, Wiesel remarked that Jerusalem has again become a thriving, international city. In this century, the Jewish people have again established their own nation in Israel. However, God still continues to work in the lives of God's people -- Jews and Gentiles alike.
