Some people do not like...
Illustration
Some people do not like risks. They are not about to put their money into the stock market. And they do not even trust banks. So they keep their money under their mattresses. They figure that it is best to play it safe. But for playing it safe in that way, their money does not grow at all. Some people, though, are willing to take a little risk. So they put their money into CDs or savings bonds. And those people are rewarded for taking a small risk by receiving a small increase in return. In recent years that reward has amounted to about four or five percent interest each year.
