Before a product is put...
Illustration
Before a product is put on the market it goes through rigorous testing. Will the product stand up to customer use? Will it meet the needs and expectations of the target population? If it is a food product, it is tested for shelf life, taste, and appearance.
When the product has passed these first tests, it is usually introduced on a limited basis, in a representative market, a practical test of sorts. If that goes well, then the product is given the company's "seal of approval" and is put on the market.
