One of the real pleasures...

One of the real pleasures in life is watching children imitate their parents or other adults. Little girls working in the kitchen beside their mothers, little girls pretending to be mothers of their babies, little boys with hammers and saws doing what they see their fathers doing are all pictures that we vividly remember about our children growing up. But of all the actions that are imitated perhaps there is none that measures up to the child who begins school and has the pleasure of a good teacher. Our children played school for hours, taking turns playing the role of the teacher. To be the teacher and have a piece of chalk and a blackboard or a story book in hand was an activity that would last for hours and was often repeated on a daily basis. Paul commended the people of Thessalonica for their desire to imitate him and his fellow workers and the way they taught the gospel. Have you noticed anyone imitating you, your beliefs, or your lifestyles? -- Runk
