As often as we seek...

As often as we seek forgiveness, it is God's wish and pleasure to grant it. So it was with
the Czarina of Russia, Maria Fedorovna. Using very subtle means, she once saved a
prisoner from being deported to Siberia. Her husband, Czar Alexander, wrote when
consigning the condemned man, "Pardon impossible, to be sent to Siberia." The Czarina
intervened, had one comma changed, left her husband's signature and the royal seal
intact, and saved the prisoner. When she finished with the edict, it read, "Pardon,
impossible to be sent to Siberia."
