Most adults have difficulty believing in something they cannot see. Children, on the other hand, have no problem with this. I recently had the opportunity to lead both a group of adults and a group of children through some basic acting skills designed to strengthen their abilities as lay readers during worship. One of the warm-up exercises we did was to think of some everyday task, like brushing our teeth or combing our hair, and perform it so the rest of the group knew what we were doing. Well, the adults just did not know what to do with this exercise.
